Manola & Carla take Aubusson!

After a missed flight connection and a 5h drive from Paris in the middle night, Manola & Carla finally reached Aubusson, in the Creuse region of France.

The next morning consisted of a visit of the mythical Pinton factory, specialized in carpets and tapestries since 1867.

They are one of the last carpet manufacturers and we are glad to partner with the family-run business that perpetuates the tradition of French savoir-faire. 

Manola & Carla were given a visit of the factory and met the team who would help us create our collection. Seeing the rugs being hand-tufted and grand tapestries being hand-woven, for clients such as Disney, Chanel or Palaces was inspiring.

Their personal favorite was the sample thread room, the amount of colors and materials was infinite ! Enough to inspire the young designers to create a colorful rug collection for kids. 

The core concept of the collection was to make original, fun and soft carpets that would add personality to the kids space.
